Overview:


The Director of Operations is a critical role responsible for maintaining, developing and supporting the firm’s business operations including standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational workflows across all departments including Cetera Advisor Networks (CAN), AdvisorNet Wealth Partners (AWP), AdvisorNet Insurance (ANI) & Benefits (ANB), Portfolio Partners, and more.


Responsibilities:


  • Partner with organizational leaders to strengthen, integrate, enhance, and maintain systems data, and data integrity to support operational efficiency and business reporting.
  • Manage and lead a team responsible for overarching business processes, and operational workflows for the Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ) under Cetera Advisor Networks (broker dealer), AdvisorNet Wealth Partners (RIA), AdvisorNet Insurance and Benefits (insurance agency) and Portfolio Partners to provide service excellence to our advisors.
  • Develop and maintain department level SOPs while assuring implementation and ongoing use.
  • Work with department leaders to develop processes and enhance efficiencies in all aspects of commissions processing for advisors and employees.
  • Partner with organizational leaders to support and implement operational budgets and business plans.
  • Influence business results by providing strategic recommendations to enhance business operations.
  • Partner with new business development to enhance efficiency and oversee the advisor transition process including firm affiliation, custodial and platform integrations, and technology and operational migrations.
  • Work with team members and co-workers to deliver service excellence to our advisors and clients.
  • Cultivate and grow strong vendor relationships across all business lines including custodians, technology and operations support.


Requirements:


  • Experience with securities and investment advisory operations, systems and administration.
  • Experience working with outside custodians as well as Black Diamond, Laserfiche, Smartoffice and Salesforce preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with superior time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills. Active listener.
  • Ability to provide strong leadership, guidance and stability to team.
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry in an operation or transition role.
  • B.A in Business or related field.
  • Personable, approachable with a positive attitude in providing service excellence.
  • 3+ years prior management experience.
  • Extensive awareness of, and interest in operational and transition processes and best practices
  • Knowledge of SEC, FINRA, and state advisory, and insurance regulations.[EC1] [JH2]
