-- MISSION --

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to join our passionate and innovative client in Totowa, New Jersey.

-- RESPONSIBILITIES --

• Act as an expert in on-time delivery (OTIF), monitoring shipping partner performance and achieving KPIs.
• Optimize staff skillsets, define budgets, and implement cost control measures.
• Manage budgeting processes, P&L, and cost control to ensure sustainability and profitability.
• Streamline company operations and implement strategies for continuous improvement, ensuring seamless flow of goods to customers.
• Provide immediate customer support before and after delivery, acting as a liaison between Sales and Operations.
• Manage facility maintenance, insurance, customs compliance, and IT issues.
• Plan production based on market demands and coordinate fulfilment/rework of stock.
• Guarantee availability of goods and supplies through effective purchasing and scouting for reliable suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and handle claims in conjunction with Quality Control.
• Implement new ERP software.

-- REQUIREMENTS --

• 5-10 years of experience in the food industry at a managerial level with a proven track record of improving company operations.
• Ability to increase productivity and optimize resource utilization.
• Orderly, systematic, and methodical approach to organizing, supervising, and optimizing operational business processes.
• Comprehensive competencies in Purchasing & Production, Warehouse & Logistics, Customer Service, Compliance & Facility Management.
• Oversight of Forecasting & Budget Control.
• Constant interaction with Sales & Customer Service teams.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, MBA preferred.
• Project management responsibilities.
