We are looking for someone who has a passion for the community we serve and experience in human services. The Director of Operations oversees the efficient overall operation, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of licensed programs, supported living, and program development areas. This position is responsible for providing the leadership and vision needed to deliver quality programming and treatment within Devereux NJ and regulatory standards.

What Devereux Looks for in YOU:

• Directs, coaches and supports managers in building strong teams. Responsible for creating a cohesive and competent program leadership team.
• Is aware of researched based best practices and works to implement them within the organization
• Sets programming priorities, establishes and manages budgets, and leads strategic planning of the programs. Is a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
• Works closely with the senior and executive team to provide seamless services in all settings and participates in organizational strategic planning and budgeting.
• Remains attuned to referral source/customer needs/expectations and integrates these into program planning. Identifies strengths and weakness of programs and creates/implements plans of improvement.
• Establishes effective outcome measures to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of program operations. Interacts with regulatory agencies (Division of Developmental Disabilities, Department of Human Services, ) and ensures compliance with these regulations for all licensed programs.
• Assists in creating and implementing operational plans, procedures, practices and mode of operation to ensure program quality
• Recognizes problems in program delivery and responds proactively to eliminate/correct problem

• Strong customer service.
• Master’s Degree preferred in business, clinical, or human services fields.
• Sound organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience in the human services or related field.
• Willingness and interest in being a team player.
• Minimum three (3) years supervisory/management experience in a similar setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and with a team with accuracy.
