The Director of Operations directs, administers and controls the day to day operations and activities of our facility and programs in an assigned area ensuring compliance with established company and regulatory guidelines and procedures in order to provide high quality services and outstanding patient care to the clients. Participates in the implementation of divisional and company initiatives and strategies. Practices cost containment strategies, maintaining profitability and growth of area while ensuring compliance with all pertinent company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements


  • Must have excellent investigative and problem resolution skills
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and local funding designated for addiction treatment services.
  • Working knowledge of The Joint Commission and State/Federal laws/requirements governing health services.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics and graphical representation principles. Computer literate in electronic mail, word processing, and Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong project management, organization, and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Exceptional leadership, mediation abilities, and multi-tasking skills. Strong commitment to customer service and excellence in healthcare.
  • Masters degree in Healthcare Administration or related field, or bachelors degree with five or more years of health care management experience.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to significant matters
  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Experience with statistical process improvement techniques.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills be able to provide information in a clear and concise manner; good interpersonal skills


Responsibilities


  • Provide leadership and direction to all direct reports
  • Manage vendors including pharmacy, laboratory testing, temp personnel, food, and office and medical supplies.
  • Create culture of accountability, tolerance, and teamwork
  • Participate in hiring/interview process of all medical & clinical personnel.
  • Coordinate transportation for incoming clients with admissions.
  • Schedule and/or perform period trainings to improve staff proficiencies.
  • Supervise direct reports to ensure performance of duties consistent with job description
  • Hiring/firing of all BHT, food services, housekeeping, and administrative personnel.
  • Identified as the Designee for Life Safety and handles all responsibilities associated with such position
  • Manage housekeeping, facility, and maintenance personnel
  • Identify deficiencies in programming and establish improvement measures
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Code of Ethics.
  • Create positive work environment for facility personnel
  • Attend and facilitate morning triage meetings.
  • Identify cost saving measures & present to ownership and financial department
  • Attend quarterly meetings for the following committees: Performance Improvement. Leadership/Administrative Committee, & Safety and Risk Management Committee
  • Maintain & Uphold highest standard of excellent, effective treatment
  • Identified as the Audit Staff for Environment of Care and will prepare for and sit through on-site audits
  • Educate staff on clinical philosophy and mission
  • Establishing highest standard of facility function & cleanliness.
  • Ensure facility is adequately staffed to service census fluctuations and gender differences.
  • Knowledge of all functions within the organization.
  • Ensure meals are of high quality and a notable part of clients treatment experience.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and licensing organizations.
  • Engage in direct client care sufficient to evaluate and contribute to clients detox experience
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of standards of practice.
  • Full understanding of state rules and regulations, Joint Commission & insurance standards.
  • Provides for clear lines of responsibility and accountability within all departments.
  • Perform all duties delegated by Executive Director
  • Devise meeting schedule & methods for departments to interface consistently with one another to ensure effective intra-organization communication
  • Evaluate morale & health of client community and take direct action to improve community when indicated


Pay: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
