The Director of Business Excellence will be dedicated to simplifying the operational strategies and programs globally for one of our key accounts here at Compass Group.
Reporting directly to the SVP of Global Strategy Operations, this role will work hand in hand with our internal team leads and customers to ensure that they can efficiently and strategically apply all the resources provided to them. As the leader of this team, you’ll serve as an integral role in strategically building out the enablement function and rapidly driving process improvement and growth for this account. The Director of Organizational Excellence & Enablement is a key member of the team and an extension of the central leadership team. This role requires someone who has a strategic, business attitude and a bias for action; thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; and easily partners successfully with a wide group of team members, from leaders to individual contributors and support staff.
What you’ll do:
- Drive the development and execution of the rhythm of business (ROB) including business reviews, planning processes, resource management, leadership meetings, cross-organizational business reporting, etc. to help the business run efficiently and optimally
- You will partner across people strategy, operations, finance, business strategy and other global teams to help us efficiently operate a sophisticated and diverse organization.
- Proactively communicate project details across all levels and relevant departments throughout the organization in a clear and concise manner
- Lead and orchestrate planning and fiscal year priorities process in partnership with the leadership team
- Drive communication rhythm and measurement of key priorities, goals and QBR’s in coordination with the Strategic Program Management Team
- Develop critical metrics and benchmarking methods to assess the effectiveness and return on investment of critical initiatives
- Drive year over year account growth, build strong key stakeholder relationships and develop retention strategy, leading to continued growth in revenue.
- Provide leadership, support, and professional development to team members in both formal and informal settings
- Cultivate strong collaborator relationships with client and operational executives and department heads that further effective cross-functional collaboration and alignment

Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in one or more of these areas: strategy, operations, operations enablement, and process improvement
- Track record of building successful enablement programs and curriculum in a matrixed organization
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Hand-on experience working strategically with operations (both field and leadership level)
- Excellent writing skills. Previous experience crafting c-suite level communications is highly preferred
- Strong presence and ability to engage both in-person and remote audiences
- Ability to adapt quickly to evolving needs of a high-growth team
- Collaborative mentality with senior leadership team, operating partners, and sector leadership
- High emotional intelligence and deep commitment to progressive diversity and inclusion practices
