Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of educational, research and healthcare facilities management/operations principles including compliance directives.

Working knowledge of facilities management and total-cost-of ownership principles.

Experience and working knowledge with health care and research projects on a large university campus.

Develop and manage annual operating budget, approve all expenditures and monitor fiscal performance of work unit.

10+ years in management role

Manages changes to the project scope, schedule and costs using appropriate processes and documents

Manages the relationship with the client and all stakeholders as well as third parties/vendors

A strong understanding of the role of prospect management and how it supports the efforts of a fundraising organization.

4+ years of management experience

Senior construction management professional with experience in development, core and shell and interior fit-out

Experience with International Construction Management projects

Budget creation and management experience

Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Construction Management

Thorough knowledge and experience with project scheduling using MS Project, or similar system

Performs project management duties for major and minor projects as needed.

Supervises Construction Services Division Project Managers verifying policies and procedures are followed.

Performs other duties and tasks related to University operations or requirements as may be required by the Facilities Construction Department administration.

Provides leadership in the planning, development, and completion of all phases of a construction project.

Complies with the Florida Building Code by ensuring that building permits have been requested and properly closed out.

Oversees inspection and coordinates correction of defects by contractors.

Prepares project reports for management, client, or others

Past insurance and adjuster experience for loss situations expected

Establishes work plan and staffing for each project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel

Financial reporting and tracking of department profitability will be required

Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required

Possess the ability to work with ownership and lenders to create opening capital budgets for loan tie back

Lead and develop Project Managers with varying levels of experience and skill sets

Partner with internal teams and teammates (Legal, Leasing, Property Management, Asset Management, and Transactions) to contribute to DLC's overall goals

Bachelor's or Masters degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture preferred

Fantastic communication skills and ability to report financial & project information seamlessly to executive leadership

Experience in building retail projects, and a significant amount of experience in tenant fit-out work

5-7 years of construction experience as a Landlord/Owner's Rep

Project Management Professional Certification preferred

Experience with Oracle and PeopleSoft

Experience working in a facilities maintenance and operations environment

Leadership and strategic management skills to develop, coach, and direct the performance of a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Own the analysis and management of key performance indicators and service level agreements. Proactively take actions to improve performance as appropriate.

Interface directly with Project Management staff to provide detailed site build progress.

Preferred: BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, etc..)

·Knowledge of English and Spanish a plus

·College degree or trade school certification is preferred, but a high school diploma is sufficient.

·Meeting with clients, subcontractors, employees, architects.

·Occasionally meeting building inspectors and answering their questions.

·Reading and understanding architectural plans, contracts and city and county codes

·Procure, track and arrange delivery of special orders.

Experience with program management software systems

Formulates procedures and guidelines necessary for the proper direction and control of project management

B.S. in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field

Minimum ten years of experience managing multiple construction projects in commercial, industrial, or higher education
