Job Description
Position: Clinical Research Education & Training Manager


Status: Exempt


Location: Remote


POSITION SUMMARY:


The Clinical Research Education & Training Manager is responsible for assisting in developing and executing training for all EmVenio research staff. This role will specifically facilitate research training for principal investigators, sub-investigators, research coordinators, and research assistants. This role reports to the Chief Medical Officer and works as part of the medical affairs team in managing enterprise education. Identifies, selects, and/or develops appropriate training programs, including the selection or design of appropriate training tools and resources. May develop innovations to improve processes and design new tools to increase efficiency while reducing errors.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Training and functional experience in clinical research with principal responsibilities related to direct clinical research functions required and clinical skills. Must have effective verbal, written communication, and teaching skills. Must be well organized and have strong interpersonal skills.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Trains new staff to manage clinical trials including but not limited to, consenting, prescreening/screening and enrolling participants after ensuring eligibility, managing participant treatment per protocol, collecting data, reporting data, and ensuring adherence to protocol requirements.
  • Continually assesses clinical research staff to ensure they demonstrate vigilance in patient safety, protocol compliance and data quality/integrity.
  • Works with research sites to develop study-specific action plans to accelerate patient recruitment or support study-specific procedure training.
  • Facilitates ongoing training for Clinical Research Staff in conjunction with supervisors.
  • Conducts training needs analyses to determine specific training needs for clinical research staff.
  • Identifies knowledge gaps to improve efficiency and reduce time to proficiency.
  • Implements and continually updates a comprehensive training and orientation program for new hires and refresher items for current staff.
  • Establish onboarding curriculum for new hires and conducts regular meetings to assess progress and provide updates to Supervisor.
  • Reviews trial related documents to conduct comprehensive training virtually and onsite.
  • Creates tools and assessments to ensure effective training of new hires.
  • Work with the cross-functional teams to develop KPIs that are actionable in driving a strategic, high-quality clinical network.
  • Participate in cross functional initiatives as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements


Education :


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (or equivalent credentials).


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :


  • Basic non-investigator clinical skills related to site research roles required.
  • Proven ability to lead and drive change in a complex multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Must be a self-starter and highly motivated individual who can identify needs and proactively work to solve problems and gaps.
  • Advanced organizational and project management abilities, including the ability to work within tight deadlines on a range of projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other data reporting platforms.
  • Proven ability to be highly collaborative and quickly establish credibility across key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities that support clinical improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including strong communication, presentation, written and interpersonal skills.


Supervisory Responsibility :


  • While this role will not have direct reports initially, network growth may necessitate adjustments.

  • Remote


Travel Requirements:


  • Required – up to 75% of time
