Position Summary:

Access TeleCare is seeking a Clinical Training Specialist that will lead Clinical Providers training, Clinical Providers readiness and clinical effectiveness programs. This will include Access Core Clinical Providers and Managed Services Clinical Providers to ensure maximum readiness to provide patient care via Telemedicine.

The Clinical Training Specialist will work closely with the Manager, Clinical Training & Education to create a process for improving clinical staff engagement and education to foster a workplace environment consistent with the values and mission of Access TeleCare.

The Clinical Training Specialist will partner with the Manager, Clinical Training and Education in the development and implementation of an innovative and thorough onboarding experience for Clinical Providers, and development of technical improvements to platform functionality that will support Access Telemed becoming an employer of choice.

The Clinical Training Specialist will be responsible for managing training functions in accordance with best practices, regulatory requirements, and strategic organizational goals. The Clinical Training Specialist will work with the Training Department to create engaging course content utilizing varied software packages to serve as the primary education and training for Clinical Providers. This content will be provided to Clinical Providers via a variety of media including but not limited to Learning Management Systems, Live video education (1-1 or Webinars), pdf documents and education workflows and manuals.


Description of Duties/Essential Functions:

Develop and maintain Clinical Providers training material for onboarding Access Core and Managed Services Clinical Providers

  • Conduct training with new Clinical Providers during onboarding process with Access Telemed; Training is provided through a combination of E-Learning, 1:1 video sessions or webinars and covers all service lines provided by Access Telemed
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
  • Conduct training with new clients on an as needed basis if clinical perspective is needed
  • Maintain a favorable, collaborative working relationship with all departments to ensure efficient working environment to achieve company’s mission
  • Create training documents for Clinical Providers training across all service lines internally and externally and be responsible for modifying training material, videos/documents/content utilizing such programs as Adobe Captivate, Word and PowerPoint applications
  • Participate in departmental planning processes as appropriate
  • Maintain positive team spirit and foster a positive organization culture that aligns with Access values
  • Conduct ongoing and refresher training with Clinical Providers

Education and Experience:

  • Two (2) years of project or program management responsibilities associated with training initiatives, organizational change management or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Experience developing programs for onboarding, and/or continuing education
  • LMS Management experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing education, Education or related field from an accredited college or university required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in clinical environment, healthcare system, training program design and management or related fields required
  • Clinical training experience in a telework environment preferred
  • Proven ability to support and lead cross-functional teams and provide project management support

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Problem structuring and strategic problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Excellent computer skills and in-depth experience with applicable software programs are required (i.e., spreadsheets, databases, presentations, etc.)
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) Training preferred
  • Advanced skills developing compelling presentations
  • Excellent inter-personal, communication, analytical, organizational, management, and negotiation skills are required
  • Experience with healthcare simulation preferred
  • Understanding of instructional design methodology and software programs
