A bit more about this role:
As part of the long-term strategy to become a “tech-enabled payvidor,” Devoted Health, Inc launched Devoted Medical, an innovative, world-class, care delivery program to supplement the clinical care needed for Devoted’s members that are not typically offered by the status quo health system. The Intensive Home Care (IHC) Program is at the heart of this goal: we are a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team focusing on complex, frail patients through a hybrid virtual and in-home clinical model of care. In just 2 years, we’ve implemented a care model that consistently achieves a dramatic reduction in acute admissions and in total cost of care. At present, we have 15 care teams providing highly personalized, high touch care across 4 states, with plans to double our team by the end of this year alone.
That’s where you come in. We need a highly analytical & innovative problem-solver; an energetic yet disciplined, empathic self-starter who understands that best-in-class care delivery is dependent on best-in-class operational infrastructure. Our care teams will rely on your ability to “see the forest through the trees;” wading into the intricate details of complex care processes, workflows, and outcomes to uncover insights that deliver better care experiences & outcomes for our patients & our teams. You will report to IHC’s Director of Operations, and work alongside medical and operational leaders within the program and across Devoted Medical, with exposure to and influence over strategic decision-making affecting care for Devoted’s most vulnerable populations.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Analysis: Leverage data analysis tools to root cause barriers to major program objectives, ranging from operational considerations (i.e. program enrollments, patient throughput, care team productivity) to clinical outcomes (acute utilization, care model adherence, HEDIS/STARs)
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with leadership to identify, prioritize & execute on program’s clinical operational agenda, with particular emphasis on growth strategy, care model iteration, performance optimization & change management initiatives
  • Service Operations: Own program’s growth strategy & outcomes with direct management over IHC’s outreach & enrollment team, from forecasting demand/care team geographies to optimizing patient enrollment funnel to improve overall program effectiveness & throughput
  • Process Improvement: Own portfolio of high-value cross-disciplinary initiatives to advance programmatic efficiency/effectiveness, including close collaboration with product, engineering, data science, & member experience teams

Desired skills and experience:
  • Past management experience is a plus but not required
  • Proven track record for seeing “the forest through the trees” - rigorous prioritization, informed by thoughtfully weighing multiple inputs is a must (organizational objectives, data analysis, stakeholder appeasement, investment vs. impact)
  • Proven leadership, agility, & collaboration skills, including either direct or dotted line management experience
  • Experience connecting the dots of U.S. healthcare, such as at a clinic, health program and/or graduate-level degree (MBA, MPA, MPH, MHA, Healthcare Informatics)
  • 4+ years’ experience driving operational performance improvement with data (i.e. developing metrics & targets, analyzing trends, driving performance improvement, reporting outcomes)
  • Leadership intuition that people are the most important aspects of our work; respect and caring for those around you and those you serve
  • Proficiency with analytical tools & enthusiasm for learning to use new platforms (examples: Excel, SQL, Tableau, Looker, Snowflake)

Salary range: $105 - $121K annually
