This position is located at our Plymouth, MI (Metro Detroit) technical center .

RESPONSIBILITIES:



Experienced management professional with the ability to build strong customer relationships and manage a team to accomplish demanding goals in an automotive supplier environment.

  • Develop and maintain high level strategic relationships with internal and customer contacts in engineering, purchasing, and other key strategic areas
  • Understand and communicate/sell current, and new technology via participation in tech shows, customer visits, and new business discussions
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training for sales team to ensure development, growth and accountability
  • Develop and deploy pursuit strategy aligned with company capabilities and capacity, and customer cycle plan and needs. Translate to new business pursuit and acquisition that achieves BP objectives for assigned OE(s).
  • Manage all commercial aspects of assigned OE(s) including Financial KPI’s, customer reimbursement, and program measurables
  • Lead the sales team to ensure financial objectives are met/exceeded

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT(S):



  • BS degree (or equivalent) is required. MBA degree a plus.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT(S):



  • Strong ability to understand customer goals & constraints with ability to articulate clear solutions and influence customer behaviors.
  • High level of emotional intelligence.
  • Experience (5-10 years) and proven track record in Account/Sales Management role.
  • Strong ability to understand customer goals & constraints with ability to articulate clear solutions and influence customer behaviors.
  • Motivated by the challenge of aggressive goals; comfortable with ambiguity; demonstrates personal integrity.
  • Excellent business, commercial and technical understanding, and capability to adapt to a dynamic and innovative environment.

  • Experience leading and developing a team, preferred international.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiations with multiple automotive OEM’s.
  • Prior experience interfacing with automotive industry, including demonstrated experience in managing customer expectations.
  • Strong ability to plan, organize and set priorities and deliver long term profitable growth
