Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced, high performing accounting team in Palo Alto, CA. This individual will be an integral part of the accounting team in many areas. This role will report to the Sr. Accounting Manager and will be responsible for several areas within the General Ledger function including month/quarter end close, reviewing of journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses. The ideal candidate will be a CPA and have a strong working knowledge of US GAAP with experience in a wide range of GL functions. What you will be doing:

  • Assist with external audit requirements for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Prepare various balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis for management and audit review.
  • Provide support for various special projects, as necessary.
  • Manage and participate in the monthly close process and other daily activities which includes reviewing of journal entries, accruals process, and account reconciliations.
  • Responsible for documenting certain accounting procedures.
  • Partner with cross functional teams including Finance, Tax, IT, Legal and Technical Accounting to ensure accounting processes are complete, streamlined, and scalable.

Experience you will need:

  • BS in Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and standard accounting processes and controls.
  • Excellent attention to detail, prioritization skills and analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Superior organization and verbal/communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter, team player and able to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment and comply with tight deadlines.
  • Experience with financial systems, large ERP systems / NetSuite(preferred), Blackline, Tableau, and Coupa a plus.
  • 5-7 years’ experience including in public accounting, preferably Big Four with CPA.

The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US Pay Range
$130,000—$195,000 USD
