CELINE is looking for an Human Resources Controller to join its HR Team in New York City!


YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT


As a Human Resources Controller you will participate in the planning, analysis, and controlling of the company and you will be particularly in charge of all HR-related costs and data. As a critical role within the bigger HR organization, you will work closely with regional and local cost planning team, finance controllers and HR business partners to analyze headcounts & associated people costs.


YOUR IMPACT


Ensuring data quality from our HR information system


  • Assist in the calculation of monthly commission and ad hoc incentives.
  • Remain acutely aware of organizational trends that could impact resource costs
  • Monitor key 3rd party costs such as security guards, temp agency, etc.
  • Perform ad hoc projects and analysis as needed to support the business.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation for payroll costs.
  • Support with the management of HR budgets, forecasts, and trend analyses.
  • Monitor key KPIs and help ensure that staffing is optimized.
  • Making and implementing proposals for improvement. Partner with HR and Finance teams to improve and streamline HR costing planning processes and tools
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations to senior management on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Liaising with headquarter HR controlling team in France, the local finance and HR at fashion group teams locally.
  • Creating and running monthly HR reports. Provide detailed analysis of variances to the management team on the variance between actual vs budget for HR-related costs (salaries, overtime, benefits, commissions, bonuses, 401k, allowances, etc.).

KEYS FOR SUCCESS


Education


  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.


Experience


  • Experience in luxury/fashion business a plus.
  • Good understanding of HR functions is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in cost control & planning at sizeable companies.
  • Degree holder in Accounting / Finance or equivalent.


Competencies


  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize work, solve problems independently and proactively; ensure all targets are met.
  • Self-motivated with strong growth mindset and learning agility.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization including senior leadership and retail associates.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment.
  • Well-organized with strong data analytical skills.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.


Languages: Fluent in English, French is a plus.

Potential starting date: August 2023.


Workplace: On-site 4 days a week.


The compensation for this position ranges from $85,000-$105,000/ annually. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon the candidate’s relevant skills and experience. In addition, there is a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discounts/perks, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.
