Hovsco is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team in Chicago. The Business Development Manager is responsible for prospecting sales and qualifying leads for new and existing accounts.

This person will act as a liaison between our marketing and sales teams. He/she will be naturally curious, results-driven, and eager to bring our product/services to new markets.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize your exceptional project and time management skills to create and implement business development plans, aligning them with the company's expectations and sales targets.
• Utilize your 3-5 years of offline sales experience to drive business growth and expand our customer base.
• Prospect new sales leads by making visits, phone or email contact. Engage the account and prepare them for Business. Connect with as many leads as possible to encourage the purchase of the product offered. Be the point person for your sales lead qualification process.
• Demonstrate your knowledge of the bicycle industry to better understand market trends and customer needs.
• Cultivate excellent communication skills to effectively engage with potential and existing resellers, providing product information and support.
• Display a strong learning aptitude to quickly become familiar with our product line and effectively communicate its features and benefits to customers.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
• Understanding of sales performance metrics
• Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
• 3+ years offline sales experience
• Must be within Chicago, NYC, or Miami Metropolitan Areas
• Basic bicycle assembly skill preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time.
• Ability to lift, push/pull, leverage and carry 70+ pounds without assistance.
• Proficient manual dexterity required while using a variety of hand tools and other equipment.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00 plus commission
