This position is based onsite in Miami, FL.
Position Summary / Job Purpose
The Copywriter will be responsible for devising, writing, proofing and pitching copy from conception to completion in various medias such as online, print & newspaper. Drives the evolution and consistent application of brand tone and personality. This role reduces our dependency on external agencies and assists the writing team in successfully completing a wide range of projects for the brand. Will internalize the essence of vital brand specifications for each project, work with a variety of business partner areas as assigned and provide highly accurate & quality work by the required deadline. Works closely with Graphic Designers for project completion.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensure timely completion of creative executions.
• Review final material and suggest improvements as needed.
• Drive brand consistency through by following brand guidelines for copy.

• Partner with other department creatives to devise and present multiple conceptual options to deliver on client areas¿ strategic and business needs.
• Write ads, flyers, direct mail, and other forms of print collateral, as well as digital media, including web banners and email, special projects, and other materials for consumer and trade media.
• Partner with key stakeholders in client areas to devise and drive business strategies through creative work.

Qualifications

• Minimum of BA in English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or related field.
• 3-5 years writing experience in advertising or related field.

Knowledge And Skills

• Knowledge of web writing and SEO best practices a plus.
• Software experience in Mac and Windows applications including Word and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of visual design programs considered a plus.
• Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Knowledge of English grammar and punctuation.
• Familiarity with print and online media. Proficiency in presenting work.
• Meticulous attention to detail; clear and concise communication, commitment to producing quality product; deadline conscious.
