Job Description

Responsible for day-to-day coordination and administration of all employee benefit plans, including medical, dental, flexible spending, 403(b) retirement, long and short-term disability, and life insurance plans. Supports the Benefits Director in all aspects of benefits strategy and delivery.

While employees may be permitted to work remotely, travel to the assigned office, HUB or Satellite Offices may be required as determined by the employee’s manager and the employee’s Strategic Talent Partner.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Serves as first contact for employee questions regarding benefit plans, coverage, policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Serves as the liaison between plan participants and the insurance carriers. Answers employee inquiries, troubleshoots, and escalates service issues as needed.
  • Assists with compliance and plan audits.
  • Supports and coordinates wellness programs.
  • Special projects and other related duties as assigned.
  • Keeps data eligibility and benefit data up to date in HRIS.
  • Coordinates with the payroll department as needed for deductions, leave pay, etc.
  • Ensures current benefit materials are posted to the intranet.
  • Supports annual benefit plan open enrollment.
  • Monitors and helps administer leave programs.
  • Reconciliation and payment of invoices for health and welfare plans.
  • Maintains plan records, data, and correspondence, and interacts with insurance plan carriers.


Education & Experience Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior experience working with HRIS software, preferably Ceridian Dayforce.
  • 1-3 years human resources experience that included exposure to benefits.
  • Certification such as CEBS, World at Work, SHRM preferred, or some coursework toward certificate


Position Requirements


  • Ability to successfully juggle multiple priorities.
  • Average salary range is $48k-$55K, open to further discussion based on geography.
  • Understanding of benefit policies, and the ability to interpret and explain to staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in all applications of MS Office Suite, including excel.
  • Highly professional demeanor with the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
