Are you an Outlier?


We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as an Associate Account Manager. In this role, be responsible for managing and growing relationships with high school partners and key employer platforms, including Guild and InStride, as part of a team. Your primary focus will be on post-sales activities, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving continued partnership success. This is a remote full-time role that will report to our Head of Academic Partnerships.


What You'll Do


  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Outlier.org's offerings, providing training and support to partners as needed.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews to assess partner satisfaction and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Support regular business reviews with employer platform partners to drive alignment and identify opportunities for expansion and increased engagement.
  • Drive post-sales activities, including onboarding, training, and ongoing support for high school partners.
  • Gather feedback from employer platform partners to inform product development and enhancement efforts, addressing their specific needs and requirements.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with key employer platforms, such as Guild and InStride, to promote Outlier.org's courses as part of their education benefits offerings.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, guidance counselors, and teachers to ensure the successful implementation of Outlier.org courses within the high school environment.
  • High School Partnerships:
  • Key Employer Platform Management:
  • Respond to employer platform requests for program information and collateral.
  • Cultivate and maintain dual enrollment relationships with high school partners that integrate Outlier.org online courses into their curriculum.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on partnership activities and outcomes to internal stakeholders and employer platform partners.
  • Relationship Management and Customer Success:
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services or courses to partners.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to support the transition from sales to post-sales activities, ensuring a seamless handoff and effective implementation of partnerships.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for high school partners, providing ongoing support and guidance throughout the partnership lifecycle.
  • Proactively address and resolve any issues or challenges faced by partners, ensuring their satisfaction and success.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to develop tailored communication materials and resources to support partner engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve any issues or challenges faced by high school partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing high school partners and employer platform partners, serving as their trusted advisor and advocate.
  • Analyze usage data and performance metrics to track the effectiveness of high school partnerships and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.


Who You Are


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in account management, customer success, or a similar client-facing role.
  • Familiarity with the high school education system and employer-sponsored education programs is preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Comfort with remote work, and connecting via Slack, Zoom, and Google Meet
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to increasing access to quality educational opportunities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and measure partnership performance.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel for conferences or key meetings.
  • Fluency with Google Workspace (including basic calculations and data manipulation in Sheets), CRM tools such as Salesforce or Hubspot, database tools like airtable, and comfort collaborating with student support teams that operate in Zendesk
  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.


Compensation


The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000-$95,000; however, the base salary offered may vary depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
