Job Description

Job Overview


TE Connectivity's Account Management Teams are responsible for selling TE's products, systems or services, providing detailed technical product information and maintaining relationships with customers in assigned geographic territory, industry or accounts.


This position will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager (East United States) and will be responsible for collaborating with multiple other functions within the organization, particularly with Customer Care team, Product Managers and Field Engineers in developing and growing accounts across the America’s region.


Role Statement


  • Lead management: Lead qualification, identify customer needs and follow up opportunities until successful closure.
  • Sales effectiveness support: Support other groups (Product Teams, etc.) with follow-up on administration actions, sample requests, escalations, deliveries, quality performance. Understanding TE internal organization is key to speed up things.
  • Account Management and Qualification: Responsible for growth of revenue, pipeline, conversion, for established account assignments.


Key Tasks


  • Qualify or disqualify all leads, using consultative selling techniques to uncover the customer needs and opportunities.
  • Sell the value propositions of TE Connectivity products and services. Develop strong pipeline for Industrial BU (Automation Controls, Industrial Robotics, Automation Sensors, HVAC, Warehouse Automation, Lighting, Servo Motors & Drives) and reflect that pipeline in Saleforce.com CRM database. Promptly and efficiently handle all inbound leads - contact all hot leads within 24 hours and all other leads within 1 week.
  • Own specific accounts/design-in locations as assigned. Manage all commercial aspects with the customer including relationship and regular contact with customer key stakeholders, managing, and preparing offers, project contracts and quotations, leading price, and contract negotiations, following up on current and potential opportunities and projects. Proactively address open customer issues, including quality issues, until appropriate closure. Penetrate new accounts or locations as identified by sales/marketing leadership.


Other Duties


  • Disciplined internal reporting of projects and other business activities through Salesforce.com.
  • Drive a minimum of one Opportunity Identification event with target channel partners each month.
  • Develop Annual Revenue plan to drive new revenue in lead accounts through all channels

What Your Background Should Look Like


Key Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge:


  • Should have had previous experience in a customer facing capacity.
  • Strong ability to plan and prioritize workload and execute on what matters most.
  • Excellent phone and consultative selling skills
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in sales of electronic components. or related to Sales.
  • Knowledge of key Industrial customers in the target market preferred.
  • Optimally have a deep and broad knowledge of TE Connectivity technology, product portfolio, and the markets they serve.
  • An academic qualification in an engineering competence or equivalent field technical experience is a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to develop a strategic territory sales plan and drive that plan with specific tactical actions.
  • Engineering degree ideal but not required.
  • Sales Experience with an electronics component manufacturer or distributor is ideal.

Compensation


  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $86,800k - 130,200k annually (subject to change dependent on physical location)
