Job Description
Our client in the Real Esatate Industry is seeking an Events and Partnerships Associate to join their team in NYC! The Events and Partnerships Associate supports the proposal, production and marketing activities for the company’s in-house resident engagement initiative. This position assists with the planning and execution of resident events held throughout Manhattan, Morningside Heights, and Brooklyn. This position also assists in the creation and distribution of weekly resident newsletters, the organization and upkeep of all current partnerships and administrative work as needed.
Pay rate: $28 per hour
Responsibilities
Communications
  • Develop brand and program awareness by contacting residents via various mediums including BuildingLink and Mailchimp
  • Develop and manage relationships with partners through outreach that includes cold calling and emailing, pinpointing the owner/marketing decision makers, and office visits
  • Work cross-departmentally to consolidate on-site requirements, needs and feedback
Partnerships
  • Work with Events team in cross-checking partnership spreadsheet & reviewing content on website
  • Maintain current deck of partnerships through regular contact to ensure all offers are current and presented correctly on company site.
  • Neighborhood/restaurant visits and walk-throughs
Marketing
  • Generate as much resident feedback and social media trends as possible to expand program and company reputation
Event Planning and Management
  • Maintain all broadcasted and internal event calendars via SquareSpaceand BuildingLink
  • Plan and manage event logistics and activities throughout the entire event lifecycle, including catering, supplies, furniture, power, infrastructure, florals, entertainment, giveaways, photography, etc.
  • Manage event décor and signage
  • Manage event set-up and tear down
  • Assist in keeping event budgets current
  • Research vendors for rentals and various event-specific services (bartenders, musicians, petting zoos, food trucks, etc.)
  • Create and place in-building signage to promote events to residents
  • Travel to event locations and partners’ businesses for site visits, planning meetings, and event execution.
Other Duties as assigned by the executives, Director of Leasing, Marketing and Design Manager, on-site managers, and team
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Team oriented, self-motivated and positive
  • Candidate should be creative, crafty and customer service friendly
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work loads
  • Willing to work events outside of typical hours ( may extend past 6PM on occasion)
  • Event Experience and/or Hospitality/Customer Service Experience
  • Solid and consistent work history with excellent references
  • Solution-oriented attitude
  • Articulate in written and verbal communication
  • Experience in hospitality and/or mixed-income buildings, a major plus
  • Flexible schedule; weekends required.
  • Strong attention to detail and well organized in a fast-paced environment
