We are looking for a Lead Account Manager. This is a remote position based in the Contiguous U.S.
As a Lead Account Manager (LAM), you will play a vital role in crafting the future of the power landscape, empowering utilities to embrace electrification and innovative energy solutions. Our array of innovative products includes energy protection, automation, communication technology, data analytics, digital twin solutions, and IoT applications.
You’ll make an impact as you:
- Cultivate strong relationships with CxO-level, VP, and Director contacts in utilities and municipalities.
- Provide the Director of Sales with regular updates on forecasts, initiatives, and key opportunities.
- Develop and support account plans, driving go-to-market growth initiatives and sales strategies.
- Champion strategic corporate initiatives for sales priorities, growth, and a thriving culture.
- Build compelling business cases for funding requests as you clearly communicate Grid Software and Energy Automation’s vision, value proposition, and differentiators to C-level customers.
- Take ownership and manage the sales book of business for your accounts, driving successful launches and roll-outs of new offerings and commercial models.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
- Ability to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
- A track record of successful account management, accurate sales forecasting, and quota attainment across multiple product lines with the ability to build, own, and run sales campaigns; knowledge of contract terms and experience in contract renewals also are required.
- Skilled negotiator with expertise in mediation and a strong sense of accountability for any issues relating to your business (an ownership mentality).
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent communication skills in English—enabling effective engagement with all levels of an organization, including director/VP and C-suite.
- Proven ability to manage, analyze, and win complex bids while collaborating with internal product teams for customized solutions.
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Extensive experience successfully selling software and/or hardware to energy utilities—or selling energy solutions to large enterprise customers. (10+ years preferred)
Preferred qualification:
- Familiarity with On-Prem and Cloud-based solutions.
- Proficiency in MEDDICC and/or Challenger selling methodologies.
You’ll benefit from:
- The salary range for this position is $97,500 - $223,700. A commission plan also is part of the compensation package for this sales position. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
