Summary
The Vice President Materials & Distribution directs and implements the operational strategy, business processes, and systems for overall distribution operations, including order fulfillment, warehousing, purchasing, and inventory management. Establishes measurement metrics and sets performance targets for all distribution-related functions that align with company objectives and are within regulatory guidelines. Implements data-driven analytical tools and systems to continuously monitor operations, identify inefficiencies, and develop optimization strategies. Ensures all operations adhere to industry safety protocols and comply with governmental regulations.
Essential Functions
  • Evaluate existing processes and build new processes to optimize operations.
  • Create and implement automated solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying metrics and measurements and creating a process to assess performance.
  • Forecast, schedule and plan for supply chain management.
  • Troubleshoot and lead department enhancements regarding supply chain and distribution issues as they occur.
  • Maintain process integrity and best practices throughout the warehousing and distribution operations.
  • Develop robust processes for purchasing, scheduling and materials management.
  • Assist with development and management of operations budget.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in business, warehouse, or distribution management

  • Process improvement focused with the ability to adopt systems, influence users, improve efficiency, and reduce cost.
  • Effective written and verbal communication with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

  • Partner collaboratively with key stakeholders to drive and deliver results.
  • Ability to set department priorities, drive strategy, and manage multiple deadlines.
Physical Requirements

Balancing. Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Pay Range:
$255k to $260k
