Our client is a private equity backed, contract food manufacturing currently growing at a rapid pace.
The Vice President, Operations will lead all manufacturing operations for the company, reporting into the CEO. This person must be a skilled communicator, effective leader and driven business person who can support company growth, maintain key operational procedures, create new processes, and ensure day to day operational excellence. This individual will walk into a successful, profitable company primed for significant growth over the next several years. With that growth will come new challenges to address. This person will have an opportunity to play a critical, strategic role helping to chart the path forward in all aspects of the business including overall strategy, product decisions, operations, commercial and acquisitions. The successful candidate will have a passion for growth, organizational development, continuous improvement, a strong sense of accountability, and a commitment to providing the highest level of customer service. Success will be defined by the ability to partner with management and the private equity partner to optimize the growth potential and profitability of the company.
Qualifications
- Strategically focused leadership skills that include strong communication talent, team-based continuous improvement motivational tactics, creative instincts, and the ability to implement company goals.
- Must be comfortable and competent in a range of venues when there is need to represent the organization.
- Successful acquisition integration experience.
- Prior experience in another food manufacturing environment, leading operations and contributing to profitable growth.
- Experience in managing cross-functional projects requiring the ability to lead and manage various disciplines.
- Proven track record in staff and organizational development, coaching, counseling, performance evaluation and team-building. This includes providing employees with evaluations and feedback.
- Continuous process improvement training (SPC, 6-Sigma etc.) strongly preferred.
- Experience in utilizing total quality management, continuous process improvement, and other applicable methodologies that improve quality, efficiency, and resource allocation.
- Experience in accepting accountability and willing and able to exercise authority in order to accomplish goals and objectives.
