The Materials Manager role is an exceptional opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in optimizing the organization's supply chain and materials management processes. As the Materials Manager, you will lead the strategic planning, implementation, and management of all materials-related activities as well as leverage your expertise by optimizing inventory levels, streamlining procurement processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring efficient material flow and timely availability
• Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to adapt materials strategies and stay ahead of competition
• Collaborate with senior management to provide regular materials-related performance reports and strategic recommendations
• Develop and execute materials management strategies that align with overall business objectives and ensure seamless production operations
• Implement advanced supply chain technologies and software to enhance visibility, accuracy, and automation in materials management processes
• Identify and assess potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and build strong supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality materials sourcing
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of materials professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence
• Drive sustainability initiatives by promoting environmentally responsible materials sourcing and waste reduction practices
• Oversee inventory management, demand forecasting, and order fulfillment to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of proven experience in materials management within a manufacturing or related industry
• Proficiency in supply chain software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Master's degree, preferred
• Strong understanding of inventory control, demand forecasting, procurement, and logistics processes
• Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
• Familiarity with sustainability practices in materials management, a plus
