We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Vice President of Logistics to lead our logistics operations and drive our continued success in the industry. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of logistics, freight brokerage, and supply chain management.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the logistics team, setting clear goals, objectives, and performance targets. Develop and execute long-term plans to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics operations.
Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing logistics team. Coach and mentor team members to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Ensure the team is equipped with the resources and tools necessary to achieve operational excellence.
Freight Brokerage Operations: Oversee the daily freight brokerage operations, ensuring seamless execution of transportation services. Manage carrier relations and negotiate favorable rates to optimize cost and service performance.
Technology Integration: Stay abreast of emerging logistics technologies and tools. Evaluate and implement new technology solutions to enhance visibility, automation, and efficiency within the logistics operations.
Risk Management: Mitigate potential risks and disruptions to the supply chain. Develop and implement contingency plans to handle unforeseen challenges and maintain business continuity.
Client Engagement: Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to understand client needs and deliver exceptional service. Ensure customer satisfaction and build strong, long-lasting client relationships.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure logistics performance and provide regular reports to executive management. Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with transportation regulations and compliance requirements. Ensure the logistics operations adhere to all relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills with a focus on developing and motivating teams to achieve organizational objectives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Strong industry knowledge and a demonstrated track record of success in optimizing logistics processes, cost management, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and carrier partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficiency in utilizing logistics and transportation information systems and other relevant technologies.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in logistics management, freight brokerage, or supply chain operations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $225,000-$250,000
