Job Description

Our leading client is seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to join their team. As the VP of Operations, you will play a crucial role in overseeing manufacturing operations, supply chain, engineering, and various other departments within the organization. Reporting directly to the President, you will be responsible for building and leading a dynamic operations organization, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring on-time deliveries of quality products to customers. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of success in operations management, possess strong technical leadership skills, and be experienced in developing innovative solutions for complex technical requirements.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with engineering, sales, and customers to provide innovative, cost-effective, and reliable solutions to drive new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional peers in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, and Quality Control to establish and execute divisional strategies.
  • Ensure technical support for all production processes, ensuring the availability of accurate tools, equipment, and documentation.
  • Prepare annual budgets, monitor exp enses, and make strategic decisions to optimize resource allocation.
  • Lead and oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, EH&S, material control, assembly/test, procurement, production control, and shipping and receiving.
  • Implement open communication, concurrent manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure on-time deliveries of high-quality products to customers, exceeding their expectations.
  • Develop and implement effective inventory management approaches to optimize cost and availability considerations.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a senior operations management role.
  • Significant experience in leadership roles within corporate or divisional organizations focused on manufacturing and operations management.
  • Aerospace industry experience is required
  • Proven track record of success in operations management in a high-reliability applications manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical leadership skills with a deep understanding of production, materials, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Technical undergraduate degree, and an MS or MBA (strong plus).
  • Background in an entrepreneurial, growth-focused organization with a track record of developing innovative solutions for complex technical requirements.
