As the Senior Compensation and Benefits Business Partner you will be responsible for owning our global headcount, compensation and benefits forecast. You will partner closely with multiple stakeholders across the business including HR Business Partners, the Benefits team and our recruiting team to provide headcount analysis and support compensation program management for the business.

The successful candidate will partner with all stakeholders to support a predictable headcount and benefits forecast which is aligned with Atlassian's compensation philosophy and strategy. The ideal candidate has the ability to understand complex data, is detail-oriented and laser-focused, but is also able to see the bigger picture. Global experience on day-to-day responsibilities.

Day to Day Responsibilities Include:

• Own the headcount and benefits financial models in Anaplan to forecast ( quarterly, annual and long-range) headcount and employment expenses
• Partner closely with talent acquisition and people teams to develop hiring and attrition assumptions
• Work closely with data + analytics and TA teams to identify, flag and rectify any data inconsistencies in our systems
• Analyze our financial data and utilize business knowledge and compensation expertise to perform root cause analysis and determine creative solutions
• Assess and reflect current quarter performance through the monthly outlook process and work closely with Corporate FP&A to provide commentary for senior leadership
• Collaborate with business leaders and HR Business Partners on compensation strategy and decisions
• Partner and collaborate with other HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Benefits, HR Business partner) to drive solutions that support Business Strategy

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance
• Proficiency with financial modeling and spreadsheets (Excel, Power BI, QuickSight, Tableau, etc)
• Knowledge of BI tools and technologies (e.g. Tableau)
• Ability to evaluate and tackle complex problems and understand the implications of different business approaches
• Are a strategic thinker, hands-on and resourceful
• Workday & Anaplan experience preferred
• Are innovative, decisive, and willing to challenge the status quo
• Technology or Software / SaaS industry experience
• Possess a strong work ethic and are high energy
• Prior experience in owning and modeling headcount and compensation forecasts
• Have a proven ability to drive change while still being collaborative and inclusive in nature
• Qualitative:
• Are adaptable and manage competing responsibilities and deadlines in a timely manner
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain financial data to non-finance leaders

Compensation

At Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $150,300 - $230,600

Zone B: $135,300 - $207,600

Zone C: $124,800 - $191,400

Within each range, base pay is ultimately determined based on your skills, expertise, and experience. This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and/or equity.
