In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Okta’s strategic and operational Workforce Planning processes and capabilities. As a business partner, you will work across Okta’s operations, finance, and people teams on Okta’s headcount-to-hire processes, including headcount planning and position distribution, as well as workforce and location strategy. You will help ensure that members of our workforce are accurately tracked and assigned to the right jobs and positions. You will partner closely with our People Analytics team and drive talent assessments and workforce reviews.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborates with people, operations, and finance partners to handle large re-orgs and sensitive transactions and ensure data is accurately updated in Workday
  • Acts as a business partner to cross-functional leaders and hiring managers during our annual planning process and when adjustments to plan are needed
  • Functions as a process improvement expert who is continually looking to identify and improve Workforce Planning processes and systems
  • Collaborates with operations, finance, and people teams on the planning, allocation, and tracking of our headcount and positions
  • Partner and educate operations, finance and people business partners on Workforce Planning best practices, influencing process changes in support of consistency and scalability
  • Troubleshoots technical and operational issues with our integrated headcount-to-hire process
  • Leads ad-hoc Workforce Planning projects and initiatives
  • Leads or supports talent assessments to analyze talent markets for new location expansion
  • Works closely with our operations and technology teams to ensure headcount and position data are reflected accurately in Workday
  • Monitors position transactions and org structure to ensure alignment across people, finance, and operations systems and teams


Basic Qualifications:


  • BA/BS degree or related work experience
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience within Workforce Planning, Project Management and/or Management Consulting (HR/Workforce Planning projects a plus)


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with Workday and Greenhouse (or other applicant tracking systems)
  • Ability to logically and efficiently structure ambiguous problems, identify sources of data, conduct complicated analysis, identify key insights and recommended actions
  • Experience with both headcount planning, allocation, and ongoing resource management
  • Proficient in auditing and maintaining large data sets using googlesheets and/or excel

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:


$122,000—$165,000 USD


The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between:


$135,000—$182,000 USD
