Job Description
The Compensation & Benefits Lead analyzes, designs, and administers employer compensation programs and benefit programs. Designs and communicates pay structures, grades, and compensation budgets. Develops and administers benefits programs, and communicates eligibility and coverage information to employees. Advises managers on effective pay decisions. Develops and maintains job descriptions and job architecture. Participates in compensation surveys, conducts research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
P03-Senior (Career Level) : Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Typically requires 4 -7 years of related experience.

Cuberg is commercializing next-generation battery technology to power the future of electric mobility. The company was acquired in 2021 by Northvolt, a global supplier of sustainable, high-quality battery cells and systems. As Northvolt's Advanced Technology Center operating in Silicon Valley, Cuberg is developing and commercializing lithium metal batteries, building an innovation ecosystem around lithium-ion technology, and leveraging Northvolt's state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities to rapidly scale up production of advanced batteries.
The San Francisco / Bay Area base salary range for this full-time position is $161,308 - $192,375 + bonus + equity + benefits.
Responsibilities
  • Develops and administers benefits programs, and communicates eligibility and coverage information to employees.
  • Participates in compensation surveys, conducts research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends.
  • Advises managers on effective pay decisions. Develops and maintains job descriptions and job architecture.
  • Designs and communicates pay structures, grades, and compensation budgets.
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in business or related field
  • 3+ years project management experience
  • Experience with high growth, startup environments is a plus
  • Motivated self-starter with a high tolerance of ambiguity
  • Excellent understanding of business operations and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 4-7+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or high growth tech.
