Overview A Compensation Business Partner is a professional who works with organizations to develop and implement compensation strategies that align with the organization’s overall business objectives. They are responsible for designing and managing compensation programs, analyzing and interpreting compensation data, and providing advice and guidance to management on compensation-related issues. Detailed Job Description A Compensation Business Partner is responsible for developing and implementing compensation strategies that align with the organization’s overall business objectives. This includes designing and managing compensation programs, analyzing and interpreting compensation data, and providing advice and guidance to management on compensation-related issues. The Compensation Business Partner will also be responsible for researching and analyzing market trends, developing job descriptions, and developing and administering salary surveys. Additionally, the Compensation Business Partner will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and providing training and guidance to managers and employees on compensation-related topics. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and laws
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in compensation or related field
• Professional certification in compensation or related field (e.g. CCP, PHR, SPHR)
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and laws
• Knowledge of job evaluation and job analysis techniques
• Knowledge of salary survey methods and techniques
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Knowledge of job descriptions and job classifications
Job Experience
• 5+ years of experience in compensation or related field
• Experience in developing and administering salary surveys
• Experience in researching and analyzing market trends
• Experience in developing job descriptions
