Job Description
Microsoft has thousands of Hosting Partners offering 3rd party hosted services to their customers driving multi-billion dollar revenue streams today. We are searching for a Business Planner – Hosted Partner Clouds who will own working with these partners and Microsoft sales organizations around the world to modernize our offers and programs that serve them. You will have an opportunity to directly drive strategy and execution on the role Azure can play in helping these partners grow and transform their own businesses and how they serve their customers.

The Complex Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy team’s charter within the Monetization & Business Planning (M&BP) organization is to create scalable, cloud first, and competitive GTM strategy to enable business model strategy to land effectively in complex environments (sovereign cloud, hosting, compliance). We lead the strategy design and planning for M&BP for these complex GTM strategies.
Our mission is to design and influence compliant GTM strategies that enable our hosting partners and customers requiring sovereign solutions to successfully grow, while enhancing our anti-corruption compliance by design across M&BP.

Business Planning will provide you with the opportunity to envision and create business models, work directly with partners and customers, and map your impact to our revenue growth. In addition, our team will be highly committed to your development, including:

Impact/Visibility
  • Influence and learn from stakeholders across legal, partner sales & field, finance, product business planning, engineering, and business operations.
  • Recommend strategy to M&BP Leadership (CVP/VP), propose initiatives and business model changes to nurture the hosting business and partner ecosystems
  • With an ownership mindset, deliver impact by owning the journey from ideation to execution, identifying in-market challenges, solving complex problems, and harnessing opportunities to grow revenue and improve partner experience.
  • Transform our hosting business from a legacy licensing program with limited impact to a key aspect of our overall cloud offering through hosting partners who can help us effectively compete with our top infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) competitors.
Responsibilities
  • Improve hosting partner experience and channel satisfaction, build innovative listening and partner care mechanisms, working alongside strategic partners, hosting blackbelts, and global partner teams.
  • Leverage and grow your ability to influence and drive effective collaboration by engaging across Microsoft.
  • Develop and recommend strategies to change manage an ecosystem of hosting partners to our Cloud Solution Partner (CSP) Channel.
  • Develop innovative business models that drive adoption of partner hosted cloud offerings of Microsoft products and services.
  • Drive internal and external research to deeply understand hosting partner needs and aspirations to transform to Microsoft cloud.
  • Own and drive strategy to transform multi-billion hosting business to be modern cloud enabled partner hosted cloud solutions, enabling hosting partner to build solutions with speed and scale.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience
  • Experience working in commercial cloud businesses or industry.
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related field
  • Enthusiasm and passion for collaboration, development, learning and driving results.
  • OR 3+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or related field
  • Ability to build and drive financial analysis to evaluate opportunities and quantify potential impact, synthesizing data from multiple sources.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are necessary to drive projects and build executive buy-in and support for key projects.
  • A demonstrated track record of working across stakeholders to define and execute strategic initiatives with passion, precision, and excellence.
  • Experience in developing business strategies through sound business judgement, collaboration, data benchmarking and validation through research and testing.
