SLS is seeking a Regional Operations Director - NA & EMEA, reporting to the Sims Lifecycle Services Chief Operating Officer. The position is responsible for the design, control and change of Operational Processes through out the SLS operations. This role will coordinate with key operational, field service and service delivery functions to ensure that SLS has best in class execution that can be standardised and scaled globally.
Principle Accountabilities
- Provide a single point of control on ownership of global operational process
- Have a depth of knowledge that is sufficient to understand our operational capabilities in our operating regions.
- Utilise SLS’s quality led approach to ensure that process design is robust, thought through and scalable.
- Play a key approval role in the approval of operational design and change control, through internal process control
- Engage a team of subject matter experts across the Sims globe to ensure we foster a continuous improvement mindset to process improvement.
- Ensure that systems exist to ensure that approved global processes are reflected in local operating procedures at Sims sites or subcontractors
- Manage the interface between operational requirements and the intake process for system design within the Sims IT systems (and the associated responsibilities within that process)
- Identify and implement process improvements to minimize manual procedures while increasing efficiency and accuracy.
- Guide Sales, Service Delivery, Operations and Finance through implementation of new programs, providing input on which systems should be used to manage client data and how systems can be leveraged to ensure highest level of service.
- Champion Change Management initiatives throughout the organization through coaching colleagues and mobilizing a global change culture.
- Develop project strategies and plans, including stakeholder assessment, communications, leadership alignment, organizational transition, quality of deliverables, budgets and KPIs
- Build strong collaborative relationships with Executive Leadership Team, Local, Regional and Global Managers and frontline personnel across the organization to drive full implementation of key business process changes and contribute to a higher level of business process maturity.
- Demonstrate personal responsibility for, and ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies, procedures, and initiatives within multiple inter-related teams or regional functions with a single team
- Promote diversity and inclusion, positive employee relations, and teamwork, and ensure all workers within multiple inter-related teams or regional functions with a single group are treated fairly and equitably
- Set budgets and manage costs in line with budgetary requirements and financial policies and procedures
- Support, recommend, and implement continuous improvement initiatives and foster compliance with quality requirements per sub-regions or region's functional strategy
- Support and ensure compliance with all Company policies, procedures, and initiatives within multiple inter-related teams or regional functions with a single team
- Cultivate a well-trained workforce, including support of performance management, career development, and succession-planning initiatives.

Experience/Qualifications Required
Education
- Working to map operational process into system requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Mechanical/Metallurgical engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent business experience required.
Experience
Five years of facility-wide responsibility for electronic manufacturing and/or production is required—three years' responsibility for managing field operations at client locations.
