Life Science Regional Director Of Operations

The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for any number of Asset Management accounts within a given geographic district. The accounts include Life Science programs and the employees associated with those programs. The Regional Director of Operations has responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the accounts, communication of, and customer satisfaction with the programs, and financial tracking.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Makes equipment service decisions that will impact the ability for their customers to deliver patient care, while balancing company expenditures and profit/loss against the customer’s clinical needs. They will be judged on their knowledge, understanding, and application of the types of resources available for any given situation and the cost effectiveness of those decisions.
• Ensures that the Renovo account staff follows the proper Renovo Policies and Procedures as outlined in the Policies and Procedures manual. They are responsible for ensuring that staff receive in-service specific to the policies and procedures, hospital orientation, illness and injury education, and is also responsible for the timely completion of annual reviews and technical competencies and profiles. This is to be achieved in a positive and proactive manner.
• The Regional Director of Operations is to ensure that the on-site Account Managers and their employees understand and follow all company policies and procedures.
• Required to make numerous operational decisions based on experience. Must understand the function of a broad variety of highly technical lab equipment and systems, their impact on delivery of care in the clinical environment as well as the day-to-day operation of a laboratory department. Must have a complete and detailed understanding of the Renovo -Live database and how to best utilize it to organize and manage their accounts.
• The Regional Director of Operations is ultimately responsible for the successful management of the Renovo Solutions accounts under their care. Their job is to ensure that scheduled work is accomplished on time, customer needs are met, the day-to-day decisions impacting revenue are communicated as needed, that appropriate resources are utilized and that all issues impacting customer service are handled with minimal service interruption.
• The Regional Director of Operations must be available to their managers, staff, and customers always during normal business hours. Possible interruptions are to be communicated to the appropriate personnel. Will need to be available after hours per the on-call schedule and hierarchy.
• Exhibits positive and proactive customer service skills. They must understand the needs and pressures on the clinical staff in their accounts and work to ensure that the Renovo program is viewed as an integral and important asset to all staff in which they come in contact.
• Responsible for ensuring that scheduled services and all associated documentation is completed in a timely and professional manner and per policy. Periodic review of account documentation and administrative procedures is required. They are responsible for assuring service continuity and scheduling staff as required in achieving this.
• Proactively ensures that the assets available to the account through the Renovo systems and program are known and available to the facility management staff. They must ensure that all management and committee reporting is completed and delivered on time. The facility’s requests for information regarding the progress of the program must be followed up in a timely and proactive manner.
• Communicates positively and proactively with their staff, Renovo management and their customers. Timely, appropriate, and accurate communication with management specific to emergent issues with Renovo staff or the account is required. This will include staff issues or problems that impact customer service, system failures that may negatively affect account financials or issues with customers that may impact Renovo .
• Is aware of and understands the account budgets as established in the Renovo -Live database for a given facility. Must be able to apply their parts and service resources to achieve financial results that are as cost effective as possible.
• Ensures that staff attends the required monthly staff meetings. They will aid their staff in their professional growth and development as opportunities arise.
