Job Description

The People Team at MongoDB is looking for an independent, self-starter to join our team as a Regional Employee Experience Manager. In this role, you will get the opportunity to help scale business processes while supporting employees and first line managers to optimize the experience of working for MongoDB. You will be the face of the People Team to MongoDB employees serving as the main point of contact for escalated inquiries and concerns, performance management, employee well-being, and regional compliance. This hybrid role can be based out of either our New York City or Austin offices and will support employees in both North America and Latin America.

Responsibilities:


  • Service Delivery: Serve as the main point of contact for escalated employee and people manager questions and concerns for your assigned business unit and/or regional territories.
  • Performance Management: Coach and enable managers to set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and manage employee performance
  • Employee Relations: Support our commitment to a safe and balanced workplace by evaluating employee complaints in partnership with the Sr. Compliance Manager to make appropriate recommendations to address the matter. Conduct mediation sessions when necessary
  • Leave Oversight: Ensure leaves of absences are a positive experience for the employee and compliant with the law
  • Culture Ambassador: Focus on manager and leadership enablement; support and promote a values-based culture and effective hybrid working environment in partnership with Workplace and local leadership
  • Compliance: Keep abreast of employment law and current legislation in relation to Human Resources to better advise managers and identify risk and alternate solutions. Contribute to evaluating, developing and enhancing company policies as necessary. Continue to make things better!
  • Partnership: Partner with global HRBPs and COEs to support achieving the people goals of assigned business units in North America and all business units in Brazil, Portugal, and Argentina
  • Process Improvement: Develop and evolve MongoDB People processes and systems to continue elevating the employee and manager experience


Requirements


  • Ability to travel periodically (10%)
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. multi-state and federal labor laws
  • Ability to collaborate globally and with all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to prioritize and multitask
  • B.S. degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 10+ years of related experience as an HR professionalwith strong performance management, coaching, business partnership, and HR operations background.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned
  • Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working with LATAM (i.e. Brazil, Portugal, and Mexico) employment practices strongly preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high growth, technology environment preferred
  • Bi-lingual in English and Portuguese strongly preferred
