Since many years Oleon has been selling its products in the Americas markets, selling from our US HQ in Greenville, SC. Oleon has acquired a chemical blending facility in Conroe, TX, US and intends to make it operational as from June 2023. On top of that the plant will be expanded with a state-of-the-art chemical reactor unit.

• You are open to take up international projects which can serve the whole of HR globally.
• As a business partner for line management, you take part in meetings and guide them in taking decisions. You also reach out proactively to the work floor, participate to meetings in plant & offices, have formal and informal one to ones with the employees as well as with the unions.
• You are responsible for developing the local and implementing the corporate HR policy for Oleon in all Oleon Americas locations (Conroe TX, Greenville SC, Campinas Brazil). You support the management in achieving the business objectives.
• You yourself take a pioneering role in the recruitment and selection of the right employees, considering the future needs of the various departments.
• Together with your colleagues experts within the global Oleon HR team on the one hand and the line management on the other hand, you are responsible for implementing and structuring HR processes and policies (strategic workforce planning, budgeting, recruitment/onboarding, internal and external communication, talent management, evaluation and performance management, compensation & benefits, ...).
• You are part of the Oleon Americas management team, and you report directly to the Oleon HR Director.

Who are we looking for?

• Speaking Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
• A strong no-nonsense approach allows you to act in a result-oriented way in a rapidly changing environment.
• You combine a thorough knowledge of labor law with pragmatic insights into HR systems and processes, and have a good affinity with figures.
• You have experience in functioning in an international matrix structure.
• You have a master's degree and have solid experience in a generalist HR function in an international environment.
• Your sense of initiative and perseverance enable you to propagate innovation throughout the organization.
• You are willing to travel on a regular basis to our sales office in South Carolina.
• As a manager you have the ambition and charisma to inspire people and generate impact. Your fluency in communication and multilingualism stimulates cooperation and consultation.
• Travel to our sales office in Brazil and our European head office in Belgium will be required.
