In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions within the company. You’ll be involved in developing and implementing HR policies and strategies, supporting department leads on managing employee performance and development, and overseeing other members of the operations team. Our ideal candidate is comfortable with taking on a blend of responsibilities and is accustomed to using technology to drive results.
Day to day you’ll be managing various aspects of HR, such as recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration. You’ll act as the main point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR-related matters. You will be handling our personnel records and data, and provide an effective administrative support service for our team, while ensuring confidentiality at all times. You will also be responsible for sourcing, screening, and closing top tier talent as well as helping develop and implement strategic recruiting programs and initiatives. Through this you will represent and articulate the company’s values and goals to the candidates.
What You Will Do as a Human Resources Manager
- Create standard operating procedure (SOP) guides for all HR processes
- Responding to inquiries from employees regarding policies, procedures, and programs
- Assisting with general benefits questions and escalating to other managers as needed
- Manage benefits open enrollment including developing benefits communication and distributing benefits materials
- Evaluate compensation requests for equity increases, re-classifications, and internal promotions
- Assist in developing and supporting career development initiatives
- Provide mentorship and support the development of Strategic HR skills in motivated employees
- Managing all performance related discussions and plans
- Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees
- Provide guidance on inquiries regarding process/policy, benefits, payroll, recruitment, referral program, worker’s compensation, and employee relations through updated knowledge of employment law
- Working with leads to develop and support recruitment and an onboarding framework providing an exceptional candidate and new hire experience
- Attending team status meetings as needed to understand the business, the people and staying abreast of changes on the projects, teams, and its effect on the business and our people
- Work with leaders and employees to identify, establish, and maintain a positive work environment and authentic culture which encourages diversity, inclusion, and belonging
What we are looking for
- 3+ years of human resources, preferably in the tech industry
- Ability to effectively work with all levels of employees, from executives to managers to individual contributors
- Current, in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to human resources and employee management, including workers’ compensation, and federal and state employment laws
- Experience developing programs from conception to implementation including significant project management capability
- Extremely organized and have excellent project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Listen and communicate with empathy
- Someone who is self-directed, user-focused, passionate, scrappy, solutions-focused, and innovative
- Above-average proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), payroll systems (such as Gusto), LinkedIn, etc.
- Human resources experience demonstrating a working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines with a focus on talent management and employee engagement.

This role is open to multiple levels/title adjustments based on experience and skills for the job Washington State Pay Range $70,000—$85,000 USD
