The People Manager is accountable to provide a full suite of high-level support expertise for a dynamic business. This role is a collaboration of the operational Delivery Partner and provides the critical support needs of the business to ensure the proper people resources are available to drive and support profitable business operations and growth.

Role Responsibilities:

  • The role has leadership responsibility for strategies and programs that support business outcomes and build organizational and individual capabilities aligned to the corporate vision, mission and culture
  • Aligns the people strategies with the business and oversees execution of comprehensive talent strategies, initiatives, action plans and processes to improve critical organizational performance
  • Acts as a partner, subject matter expert, advisor and coach regarding business decisions including:

o Workforce planning and talent acquisition/mobility

o Diversity, equality & inclusion

o Compensation

o Organizational design

o Succession planning, retention, engagement

o Employee relations, legal issues, etc.

  • Proactively identifies organizational issues through data and trends and brings forth recommendations/solutions
  • Provides expertise in managing and leading change and is an advocate for creating a culture that supports business objectives
  • Manages complex and difficult HR Projects cross-functionally
  • Identifies and addresses succession issues through development and succession planning programs, develops ready now and potential pipeline candidates; Leads process to identify talent for key roles and/or strategic hires
  • Acts as the voice and senior level advocate for the employees to the leadership team at all times
  • Partners and supports leaders in achieving safety objectives
  • Ensures organizational success in complex business situations such as mergers, acquisitions, integration, major programs, and organizational redesigns

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. SPHR certification a strong asset.
  • 8+ years HR experience, with 2+ years of people leadership experience
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing and executing strategic HR plans that align with business goals.
  • Results oriented, services focused human resource professional with a verifiable track record for adding value, organization and superior performance and results to overall operations.

  • HR expertise in team building, organization design and change management, performance management and labor/employee relations
  • Strong ability to coach and provide advice and counsel to leaders
  • Superior leadership skills including people and organizational savvy with the ability to build relationships across all organizational levels and functions
  • Proven ability to attract and retain talent as well as build and motivate high performing teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including a proven ability to develop and lead people
  • High professional standards for customer service and work quality
  • Significant business and financial acumen
  • Technically savvy and comfortable with metrics and analytics
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
