Summary: In this role, you will be the first point of contact for People Leaders across segment business units, functions in locations across the Americas (Canada, USA, Mexico, Argentina & Brazil). You will act as an important source of support on People & Culture initiatives, while also focusing on optimum delivery of these initiatives to the business of at a geographic area. You will collaborate with CoE’s in order to enable your geographic responsibility to drive results and achieve our Double Impact ambitions. Work closely with segment and function strategic business partners to deploy People & Culture solutions to organizational needs to capitalise on local optimization of service to our customers. Provide expertise to employee and industrial relations matters at a local level.
Role Responsibilities
  • Promote positive employee relations through local activities to support Hempel in being an attractive place to work
  • Provide dedicated partnering, guidance and coaching to multiple leaders at different levels of the organization on the full range of People and Culture lifecycle activities
  • Ownership of compensation initiatives at local level (Salary planning, market adjustments, promotions) and collaborates with Strategic Business Partners and CoE’s as required.
  • Partner with leaders to give clear direction on conflict grievance and dispute resolution management.
  • Problem-solve using independent judgment based on the analysis of information, including financial and statistical data.
  • Work with leaders and managers in identifying employee performance opportunities and challenges and assess training needs
  • Global project delivery in collaboration with CoE’s, SBP’s and P&C Operations teams.
  • Provide managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues.
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices to promote an ethical and compliant work environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Hybrid, able to commute to office location 2728 Empire Central Dallas, TX 75235
  • Good stakeholder engagement at several levels of an organization
  • Experience with HR systems and reporting tools; strong working knowledge of MS Office
  • Track record of efficiently and effectively working and collaborating across a matrix organization
  • Some travel may be required
  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of human resources experience
