Job Location: Hybrid: Remote Monday & Friday; DTLA Office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Position Summary: The Manager, Destination & Member Services will report directly into the VP, Membership and primarily support the Marketing team by managing all logistics for media, influencer and trade visits and managing marketing events including roadshows, activations, client functions and other external gatherings. The ideal candidate will have prior destination services or similar industry experience with a background in event management, handling a variety of detailed projects. We are looking for a highly detail-oriented, energetic, flexible individual who is a comfortable handling everything from soup to nuts. Local travel around Los Angeles is required and some domestic travel may also be required occasionally. Frequent evenings and weekends required due to the nature of events.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS are listed in order of importance:
1. Manage all logistics for media, influencer and trade visits including itineraries, transportation, accommodations and amenities. - 30%
2. Engage with and escort media, influencer and trade clients, and serve as on-site point for events. - 20%
3. Manage member outreach and data entry for all FAMs, events and site visits and reporting to department lead. - 15%
4. Responsible for maintaining and updating FAM events in Simpleview. Including: pre & post survey, itinerary, attendees, member benefit recollection. - 15%
5. Upon receiving FAM Request Form assist with delivering all committed services and act as a liaison between the Client and the institutions that have been contracted for their activities and events. 10%
6. Assist with managing marketing events, including roadshows, activations, client functions and other external gatherings as needed. - 5%
7. Perform other duties as assigned. - 5%
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
8. Assist with Market Outlook Forum
9. Assist with Member Mixers as needed
10. Maintaining above satisfactory survey results from FAMs
11. Maintain excellent relationships with key LA Tourism Members & Stakeholders.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license and be able to drive a vehicle for work-related travel as needed and as applicable to the position. Must be willing to partake in a comprehensive background check including a drug test in accordance with applicable laws.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Prior destination services or similar industry experience.
2. Prior experience managing a variety of detailed projects with multiple stakeholders and a proven track record of maintaining high client satisfaction results.
3. Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
4. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
5. Dependable, great attitude, highly motivated and a team player.
6. Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
8. Ability to communicate effectively across various departments.
9. Ability to work in a changing environment.

Requires prolonged sitting, driving, some bending, some twisting neck and body, some stooping and stretching/reaching (up, down, out), requires grasping, feeling, and detecting, requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, mouse, photocopier, fax machine, telephone, calculator, projector, screen for presentations, and other office equipment on a repetitive basis. Requires normal range of hearing, talking, and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports and information.
- Must be able to get in and out of a vehicle on a regular basis while traveling for work.
- Must be able to carry, lift, roll luggage or equipment for work-related travel.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be able to fly on an airplane and sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to drive long distances and sit for prolonged periods of time.
COMPENSATION RANGE:
Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
$70,000 - $77,000
