Description:

The Temecula/Vail Lake KOA is an outdoor campground destination looking for enthusiastic people to join our team as a bar back assistant in the Bunkhouse Bar. Located in beautiful Southern California among a grove of oak trees, we are a year-round park offering camping close to the Temecula wine country, beautiful Vail Lake, and miles of mountain bike, horse, and hiking trails. Our goal is to create a great camping experience for our guests by offering excellent customer service. Working Hours

  • $15.50/ hour and up depending on experience
  • Day and Evening shifts
  • Friday-Sunday (some mid-week during the summer)
  • Tip outs based on percentage of sales
  • Holidays
  • Reports to the Bar Manager
  • 10-20 hours/week depending on occupancy

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist bartender during rush hours including but not limited to: pouring beer, prepping drinks, taking orders and ringing sales
  • Enforce campground policies and implement solutions consistent with goals of Vail Lake Resort
  • Ensures customers receive a high level of service consistent with our customer service philosophy
  • Coordinate with Guest Service staff for problem resolution when applicable
  • Other duties as assigned by Temecula KOA leadership team
  • Utilize creative problem-solving skills
  • Maintaining cleanliness and supplies of the bar and lounge area throughout the shift
  • Bar prep for all drinks, snacks or needs during shift
  • Clean and maintain food prep area according to Health Code
  • Assist with perishable and non-perishable inventory on a weekly basis by shelving orders and keeping stock room organized
  • Dishwashing and sanitizing
  • Clean all appliances and equipment daily
  • Be comfortable using a variety of kitchen appliances and utensils
  • Assist in closing of the bar and lounge area including but not limited to: cleaning and organizing tables, directing guests from the building, replenish supplies, removal of trash and mopping
  • Complete TIPS training for responsible Alcohol Service
  • Help with set up of the bar and lounge area including but not limited to: changing beer kegs, refilling ice bin, re-stocking bottles, garnishes, coasters, cups, juices, and filling water pitchers
  • Proactive guest management to ensure positive environment for all guests
  • Help with the set up and breakdown of beverage cart
Requirements:
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Able to work with others and work independently
  • Good customer service and communications skills
  • Be on your feet during shift and able to lift at least 30 lbs and up to 90 lbs kegs
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate professionally and patiently
  • Professional Appearance and attitude towards guests and fellow team members
  • Actively communicate both verbally and written
  • Previous entry level experience in a bar or restaurant is preferred
