Job Description
MONTICELLO | Napa Valley is a prestigious and family-owned winery nestled in the heart of Napa Valley, known for producing exceptional and sought after wines. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Sales Manager at Monticello Vineyards, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth, expanding our presence across the wine industry and building a team. Your primary focus will be on cultivating and extending relationships with national wine retailers and distributors to grow sales with restaurants and independent wine stores.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with national retailers, distributors, restaurants and independent wine stores.
• Identify and engage potential new accounts while nurturing existing partnerships to maximize sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing and production teams to ensure effective product positioning and promotion.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer preferences to identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and insights to the executive team.
• Represent Monticello Vineyards at industry events, trade shows, and tastings.
Qualifications:
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in sales within the wine industry.
• Proven track record of successfully growing sales and expanding market presence with wine retailers and distributors.
• Strong network of contacts within the wine industry, including distributors, restaurants and independent wine stores.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and a team player with strong leadership qualities.
• Proficiency in using sales and CRM tools to manage accounts and track progress.
• Ability to travel as required for market visits and to attend industry events and meet with clients.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
