Job Description

TITLE: Manager of Human Resources

SUMMARY

Neptune Medical is an innovative Silicon Valley start-up commercializing high clinical value devices across multiple sectors, including gastroenterology, cardiology, and robotics.We are seeking a talented, collaborative, and highly motivated individual with expertise in Human Resources to join the Neptune Medical team.This individual will plan, lead, develop, and coordinate our human resources and recruiting efforts. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a remarkable start-up. The ideal candidate would display the ability to perform to the below requirements, would show a high level of individual responsibility, and would act with passion and intensity in a VC-funded medical device start-up that is fast-paced and collaborative.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·Work with hiring managers to help recruit and retain top talent and to negotiate employment agreements.

·Anticipate, identify, and facilitate the resolution of employee relations issues.

·Create and monitor employee benefits programs.

·Manage full-cycle payroll.

·Lead on-boarding and off-boarding processes.

·Design and direct training & development programs.

·Provide input to management and employees to resolve conflicts, improve team efficiency, and ensure support of organizational changes and business plans.

·Conduct annual employee performance review process.

·Assist in the process of employee promotions/raises.

·Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and recommended best practices.

·Ensure people-operations matters such as visas and immigration-related issues, I-9s, workplace safety, contractor / freelancer processing, and remote work policies are handled accurately and consistently.

·Work on special and cross-functional projects as needed.

·Lead an environment that encourages employees to work together.

·Establish and implement HR plans that optimally communicate and support the company’s objectives, mission, vision, and values.

REQUIREMENTS

·Minimum six years of HR experience.

·Professional HR certification and/or degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or other related discipline.

·At least two years of experience as a recruiter of top talent.

·Experience in a fast-paced startup in the fields of MedTech, Biotech, or High-Tech.

·Strong working knowledge of state / federal employment laws and regulations.

·Advanced leadership and influencing skills.

·Ability to communicate with discretion and professionalism.

·Exceptional organizational, coaching, conflict resolution and relationship skills.

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation and presentation skills.

·Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects that cut across multiple business units, from inception through completion.

·Strong computer skills; experienced in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and necessary HRIS systems

·A willingness to work hard, with a driven outlook and a strong desire to succeed in your role, as part of a team, and as part of an ambitious venture-funded start-up.
