About the Company:


OPCO Skilled Management is responsible for the business administration processes of multi-state skilled and long-term-care nursing facilities. Servicing the long-term care industry has taught us that residents don't live where we work, we work where they live. We are looking for a candidate with exceptional interpersonal skills for the position of Human Resources Manager. Under the supervision of the VP of Human Resources, you will be responsible for leading and directing routine functions of the department including employee relations including complaints/investigations; performance management including discipline and terminations, strategic retention planning including collecting and analyzing employee data to drive company initiatives; training and development of leadership at all levels of the organization. Travel is required.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Analyzes trends to create strategic plans on recruitment, retention, and engagement efforts.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Ability to travel to multiple states to conduct investigations, performance management, training and development, and employee surveys.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Create and maintain records including case files.
  • Provides support and guidance to Payroll/HR Coordinators when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as investigating allegations and terminations.


Required Skills/Abilities


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, or related software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.


Education and Experience:


  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or relevant experience is required.
  • A minimum of three years of human resources management experience is preferred.
