Head of Sales (Senior Manager/Director)
California – San Francisco Bay Area

We're looking for a passionate and effective Senior Manager of Sales to develop our sales strategy and hit sales milestones for Plateron. The role includes responsibility for developing and managing the Plateron sales team, managing the sales funnel, achieving ambitious growth targets, and identify reporting and tooling needs to run an effective sales organization.
The ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional with some leadership experience, but also the passion to close sales themselves and learn from customers how to optimize the pitch and tools for best outcomes. You are a self-starter with the drive to hit targets while creating mutual value for the customer, and you build teams that deliver results and have fun while doing it!

Responsibilities:
- Achieve ambitious sales targets and maintain great working relationships with all customers
- Track, analyze and review all customer calls, appointments, and follow-up communications with customers to continually uplevel our sales performance
- Ability to independently build, plan and execute on regional sales plans
- Build and develop a talented, effective sales team
- Create scalable sales processes including sales pitching, lead capture, nurturing, and conversion activities
- Work directly with Product and Engineering teams at Plateron to share customer feedback and improve our solution with your inputs
- Consistently represent the Plateron value proposition to all customers and prospects.
Qualifications
- Ready to take accountability for your work and results
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Hands-on experience with lead generation and conversion techniques
- Familiarity with Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
- Prior work experience and management responsibility in retail customer service, inside sales, or business development
- Track record of achieving sales targets and operating in ambiguous startup environments
- Strong planning, prioritization and closing strategies that allow working across multiple leads independent of timeline, scope, and location.
- Self-starter with a natural passion for sales to realize mutual benefits
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
