Job Description

⚡Founding Head of Finance

🏥SaaS-based HealthTech Platform

💶$225k+ Base + EQUITY

🌐San Francisco (Hybrid)


We are looking for a Head of Finance to build and spearhead the Finance team of a SaaS Healthcare platform in the South San Francisco. Reporting to their CEO/COO, this role serves as a key partner to their Sales, Marketing, Product, Health Care Operations and Accounting Departments to both help better analyze the business today as well as provide the data and insights necessary to achieve their strategic and financial plans over the long term.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Deliver clear, concise, and comprehensive financial reports to facilitate management decision-making. Analyze financial data and develop robust financial models to support strategic decisions.


  • Budget Development & Management: Lead the development of budgets and financial plans, using data-driven analysis. Monitor budget and forecasts, ensuring alignment with financial targets.


  • Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.


  • Investor Relations: Manage relationships with investors and financial institutions, representing the company's financial interests.


  • Accounting Oversight: Oversee all accounting functions and systems, ensuring accurate and efficient operations. Establish and implement effective accounting policies and procedures. Liaise with external auditors for annual audits.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior financial role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Start-up working experience.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Proficient in financial management software.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
  • Master's degree in Finance or MBA.
