Job Description

Head of Growth (Marketing & Sales)

Location: The Head of Growth role is a hybrid / remote role reporting directly into our Santa Barbara / Goleta, CA office. Must be based in our nexus to hire (CA, AZ, FL, GA, IL, KY, MA, NC, NY, OH, SD, TX, WA, OR)

About The Role


Zyris is hiring a Head of Growth to lead our company’s revenue growth strategy, including marketing and sales. You’ll work directly with our COO and will be responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of growth strategies across our omnichannel business. You will lead the teams responsible for content development, marketing, advertising, influencers, ecommerce, distributors, sales development, and conversion.

You’ll ensure annual growth targets are met by identifying new growth opportunities, as well as optimizing the existing processes to ensure they are cost-effective and scalable.

In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of marketing and sales professionals, while reporting directly to our COO. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in marketing, with at least seven years in a managerial position, and outstanding time management and communication skills.

How You Will Contribute

(Core Responsibilities)


  • Leading a team of marketing specialists to promote the Zyris brands and products, develop campaigns, develop content, and leverage multiple channels move people through the funnel
  • Working with marketing, sales, customer success, and product teams to optimize existing and establish new, cost-effective processes to achieve and exceed our revenue goals
  • Analyzing business performance and creating monthly/quarterly reviews
  • Maintaining relationships with decision-makers across our target client/customer base
  • Leading strategy development and execution to drive customer/client acquisition, engagement, and retention, as well as increase our market share to reach our growth targets
  • Optimizing the effectiveness of existing marketing channels such as emails, social media, website, etc., based on data-driven insights
  • Building and managing a successful team while fostering a culture that aligns with and promotes company values

What We Are Looking For

(Qualifications & Requirements)


To be successful in this role, you must be an experienced strategist, with strong tactical, and operational skill sets; have in-depth knowledge of business operations and the marketing industry, an analytical mindset, creativity, as well superb leadership, and management skills. You must be an active student of industry, competitive, and macro trends to influence strategy selection and tactical execution.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently with sharp problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of campaign management tools (Active Campaign, HubSpot. Mailchimp, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Proven experience developing / implementing sales strategy and meeting revenue goals
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills
  • Proactivity and the ability to flourish amidst uncertainty.
  • Experience in the medical, dental, or pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills required.
  • Knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • Experience working in a B2B sales environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in Product Marketing, Brand management, SEO, and social media
  • 10+ years of experience in Growth Marketing
  • 7+ years of experience in a leadership / managerial role
  • In-depth understanding of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Matomo, Fathom Analytics, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field
