Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to join our rapidly growing social media start-up company. As the CCO, you will be responsible for driving the company's commercial success by overseeing and leading our marketing, sales, PR, and partnership relations efforts. This is a pivotal leadership role that requires a visionary mindset, exceptional business acumen, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong partnerships and relationships with key external stakeholders, including media outlets, influencers, industry leaders, and potential strategic partners.
- Oversee the sales team, setting clear targets and objectives, and driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies, pipeline management, and client relationship management.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to develop effective pricing strategies and ensure the company's offerings remain competitive and attractive.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive public relations (PR) strategy to enhance the company's reputation, manage crisis communication, and promote positive media coverage.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the commercial team, fostering a high-performance culture and driving employee engagement and development.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, prepare regular reports, and present findings and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.
- Lead and manage the marketing team to develop and implement innovative marketing strategies, campaigns, and initiatives to drive brand awareness, user acquisition, and engagement.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, and finance, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of commercial strategies.
- Identify and explore new market opportunities, industry trends, and customer needs to drive innovation and differentiate our products and services.
- Develop and execute the company's commercial strategy, aligning it with the overall business goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen, including financial literacy and budget management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- A passion for social media, technology, and emerging digital trends.
- Proven ability to think creatively, innovate, and drive business growth in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, meeting or exceeding sales targets, and developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
- Proven experience (at least 10 years) in a senior leadership role, overseeing marketing, sales, PR, and partnership relations preferably within the technology or social media industry.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscapes to inform decision-making.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and driving employee development and engagement.

Work Arrangement
The commitment required from you is a few hours a week, working remotely,until our global launch.While this role is currently unpaid, you will be given a vested equity in our startup, together with a range of vested benefits. Once the app launches inthe spring of 2024, this role will transition into a paid full-time role.
