DFA has an opening for a Fleet Services Coordinator. Manage and coordinate fleet transportation activities. Coordinate support initiatives and protocol for management including the maintenance of fleet systems/databases and processes and the oversight of elements related to compliance with federal and state regulations for transportation assets and workforce compliance. Independently monitor compliance within contracts and lease arrangements; identify and resolve exceptions directly with vendors. Provide project management coordination relating to transportation improvement initiatives. Provide reporting, analytical, technological support, and training.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Coordinate vendor services and develop report analytics relating to vehicle assets
• Develop confidential statistical results and reporting for management
• Collaborate with other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation, response, and resolution for alleged violations to rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Work with the vendor and field personnel to maintain the systems and information that relate to transportation asset tracking (ownership, titling, licensing, registration, taxes, insurance, toll transponders)
• Develop and execute training to various classifications of employees to develop the highest degree of proper reporting relating to federal and state reporting (inspections, maintenance record-keeping)
• Provide reports on a regular basis and as requested to keep management informed of the operation and progress regarding compliance and or systems (e.g., Key Performance Measures (KPI’s) and Return on Investments). Assist in the analysis of these key reports and execute any action items deemed necessary
• Work with the Group Logistics Directors, Group Fleet Managers and other field personnel as necessary to facilitate operational asset management of titles registration and permits
• Develop, manage, and update fleet system(s) for annual reporting requirements 2290, IFTA UCR filings.
• Monitor compliance with state/federal mandates and proactively identify non-compliance by employees relating to asset maintenance requirements

• Function as a point of contact for fleet-related systems to ensure systems are working accurately and effectively. Make recommendations to implement additional systems or system modifications to accommodate new or existing business needs

Education And Experience

• 2 to 5 years of asset management. logistics, transportation, supply chain, compliance, or related experience
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
• Undergraduate degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of experience and education)

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Knowledge of DOT/Licensing regulations and Federal Motor Carrier requirements
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Knowledge utilizing enterprise fleet maintenance software systems
• Knowledge of transportation best practices including regulatory and compliance requirements
• Able to learn new computer software
• Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
• Understanding of vehicle licensing, registration and fuel reporting
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Skill in organization and prioritization
