The Technical College System of Georgia is accepting applications for the following part-time position:

Business Services Intern, Office of Workforce Development

Salary range: $20/hr. (15-20 hrs. per week)

Location: 1800 Century Place, Suite 150, Atlanta, Georgia 30345 Start Date: May-June, 2023

The Business Services Intern is responsible for supporting the statewide implementation and oversight of all business services-related efforts and initiatives under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) for the Office of Workforce Development (OWD).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct research and analyze data on relevant skills and workforce development issues such as: implementation of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, career pathways/sector strategies, assessments, credentialing, professional licensure, English language learners, community colleges, etc;
• Conducts extensive research to compile information needed to generate reports, complete projects and accurately responds to questions and concerns;
• Assist in identifying and researching nationwide business services strategies and structures;
• Drafting, editing, and presenting policy documents, research reports, and planning documents; and
• Assist in identifying and researching nationwide sector partnership models and structures;
• Assists in identifying and researching nationwide apprenticeship models and structures;
• Develop the structure and policies of state awards for apprenticeships;
• Other duties as assigned.
• Collaborating with other state agencies and stakeholders to advocate on behalf of assigned initiatives and programmatic subject matter;

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
