Fleet Dispatcher Jobs

We are looking for a fleet dispatcher that will be the liaisons between our dispatching team and drivers. You will relay information from dispatching lead to drivers, such as instructions on where to go and what to do when they arrive. You may also pass along messages from drivers to other dispatchers about issues that arose during a delivery or other concerns.
You must be able to effectively communicate with both parties in order to fulfil their duties. This requires strong interpersonal skills and an attention to detail.
Your Responsibilities

• Keeping track of transportation regulations and laws to ensure that truck drivers comply.
• Monitoring truck repairs and maintenance schedules.
• Reviewing drivers’ logs, including dispatched calls and arrival times.
• Communicating with customers about delivery details or pickup times, and special handling requests.
• Assist in preparing dispatch documents, as well as generating delivery bills and invoices.
• Logging customer shipping schedules and complaints.
• Maintaining records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, as well as delivery and pickup times.
• Assist in planning pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed.

Requirements

• Knowledge of applicable transportation regulations and laws.
• Extensive experience in customer services, as well as generating transportation bills and invoices.
• Experience with Transportation Management Software (TMS), such as Samsara
• Associate degree in transportation or logistics would be advantageous.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Express.
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar industry.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Exceptional ability to schedule drivers, plan routes, and dispatch drivers to customer locations.
• Ability to monitor drivers logs, truck maintenance schedules, and repairs.
