Job Overview

The Human Rights Foundation (HRF) has created a new role for a New York-based Project Manager. This role will be tasked with coordinating people, departments, and processes to ensure projects/events are delivered on time and produce desired results. The Project Manager will coordinate multi-departmental deliverables to support the Programs, Creative, and Production teams for all HRF Events and advocacy projects. The Project Manager will report to the VP of Events and the Director of Legal and Programs and will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization and timeline.

Responsibilities And Expectations

Specific duties include, but may not be limited to:

• Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of project(s) status and providing project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
• Performing risk management analyses to minimize project risks
• Using appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
• Coordinating tasks and setting deadlines and timelines for team members/across departments once Production and/or Programs establish project foundation
• Measuring project performance to identify areas for improvement
• Predicting resources needed to reach objectives and managing resources in an effective and efficient manner
• Serving as point of contact for teams when multiple departments are assigned to the same project, to ensure team actions remains in sync, and consistently following up across individual teams and departments
• Developing and managing a detailed project schedule and work plan on HRF’s task management platform (Monday.com)

Qualifications

• Travel required 10%
• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
• Must be comfortable performing production-related tasks on-the-ground during Event Days, with ability to lift 25 lbs
• BA in business, management, or related field, from an accredited college or university
• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
• Proficiency with project management software tools (e.g., Monday.com, Airtable), project management methodologies, and best practices
• Excellent communication skills and comfort managing multiple tasks with a team player mentality and problem-solving and upbeat attitude
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• 3-5 years of project management experience

Compensation

Salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 commensurate with experience. Generous and comprehensive benefits package with company-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance, flexible PTO plan plus many other discretionary benefits available.
