About The Job


CHANEL a leader in the luxury goods industry is looking for a Manager to join our Eyewear Team in New York City. The Manager is responsible for supporting the Eyewear Team across various business initiatives within buying, planning, distribution and training workstreams. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience and a passion for business, product, and the evolving state of retail.


What impact you can create at CHANEL:


Sales & Distribution:


  • Help with preparing content and/or analysis for Business Review Meetings, and follow up on action items resulting from meetings
  • Forge relationships with key internal departments to champion category exposure and see initiatives through to completion
  • Actively follow industry and seasonal trends to maintain a strong pulse on the competitive market
  • Help drive innovation by identifying opportunities for efficiencies in our ways of working; play key support role in Eyewear Dashboard development
  • Take ownership of business-critical files and databases, ensuring data is accurate, updated and organized
  • Manage wholesale business initiatives, tracking progress and results
  • Responsible for creating, analyzing, and delivering holistic business reporting, supporting in identifying key insights
  • Cultivate relationships with Eyewear Ambassador community and promote category engagement amongst our retail teams


Buying & Inventory Planning


  • Manage the pricing process for new and core product
  • Execute ongoing assortment, price, and location analysis, identifying actionable business insights
  • Monitor shipping, tracking delivery timing and cancellations, and proactively share findings and recommended actions
  • Play an active role in the overall buying process and inventory lifecycle for Chanel Fashion and Lease Boutiques
  • Support in creating and implementing strategic initiatives to drive the business across seasonal and core collection
  • Participate in determining the product assortment during each market (up to 6x per year) for Chanel Fashion and Lease Boutiques, and collaborate closely with boutiques to tailor the assortment based on client and market insights


Training


  • Partner with Fashion education team on training opportunities to incorporate Eyewear
  • Support in the planning and execution of Eyewear training moments including collection trainings and ad-hoc opportunities for owned retail and internal teams
  • Tailor training content to ensure market and audience relevance
  • Coordinate wholesale training moments, and deliver branded content as needed

Position Logistics:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, must have strong working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
  • Minimum 5 years in an analytical role with demonstrated results in impacting business; buying-related experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Position is NY-based and will follow a hybrid schedule


The anticipated base salary range for this position is $64,200 through $110,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other components [may/will] include additional compensation, benefits and perks.
